Shaun Cameron – I spent close to a decade involved in some form of media in the Wheat City. I have spent time as a Creative Writer at the CTV affiliate station CKX Television in Brandon. I was the Creative Director and helped establish Brandon’s first internet news organization itvbrandon.com. I spent time as a photographer in the newspaper industry with the Westman Journal as well as a freelancer (photography) featured on the CBC National news and Yahoo Canada. I have been involved in the Community theatre scene for over fifteen years as a writer, director and actor. Most recently I have become involved in politics as the Liberal party candidate in the 2011 Provincial election in Manitoba.
I started WhatsupWestman.ca as an outlet for the creative in Westman to share what is going on with the entertainment scene and to be able to cover some of the talented people of Brandon in their element. I hope you enjoy the site and I welcome contributors to the site at all times.
